Tell us about yourself
I grew up in Mangalore, a prominent coastal city in Karnataka. During my early childhood, I was fascinated by the TV Commercials that appeared on national television which shaped my formal education later in life. I always aspired to be a Marketing & Advertising professional and happy to have chosen a career in this field. I have represented school and college football teams at the district level, a chess player in college and headed Literature Club at St Aloysius College.
My hobbies are Photography and Travelling. I not only take photos but make them come alive with the help of technologies like Plotaverse. I am a self-proclaimed photo artist than just a photographer.
Tell us about your function and its responsibility
I handle Marketing and Communications function at Uniphore across geographies – India, APAC, and the US. As a Marketing function, we are responsible for Uniphore’ s brand positioning in the market. Through various activities and not limited to Public Relations, Events, and Thought Leadership content, we aim to build a niche for Uniphore and its products in the eyes of our customers and stakeholders.
What do you think about the future of Speech Recognition technology? How do you see your function helping Uniphore scale up?
I would say, Speech Recognition is the future for all technologies. In the coming days, UI (user interface) will be ‘NO UI’, Speech will be the NEW ‘UI’ for any technology. With the way the world is moving towards connected devices, I feel everything from a car to washing machine will have voice as a primary interface.
Hence, I feel, it’s not only the ‘contact centers’ but also the ‘service centers’ that will need speech analytics to understand the customers and gain business insights.
For any ‘technological change’ to take place, right communication is crucial. With a strong Media Relations and Thought Leadership content, we will enable Uniphore to reach the next the level and reach out to the target audience with the right message.
What keeps you going
My passion for photography and traveling keeps me going. I add epigrams to my photos to make it more interesting for the readers. My love for traveling has taken me around 17 countries.
At work, the freedom to experiment and execute marketing programs keeps me on the edge. A promising technology, strong leadership team who I look up to and cross-functional collaboration are more than just motivation.
