From big news (yay, unicorn status!) to new partnerships—a lot happened during the past 12 months. As we prepare for another exciting year, let’s look back at the events and developments that shaped 2022 and shook up the industry. Here’s your Uniphore Year in Review: 

Uniphore Reached $2.5 Billion Valuation with $400 Million Series E Funding

We kicked off 2022 in a big way. In February, we announced our Series E funding round of $400 million. Led by NEA, with March Capital and other investors participating, that round brought Uniphore’s total funding to more than half a billion ($610 million) and raised the company’s valuation to $2.5 billion. That milestone elevated us to the ranks of other tech “unicorns”, according to Forbes and others. 

Q for Sales Redefines Virtual Sales with Real-time Emotional Intelligence

In March, we revealed our most innovative sales product to date: Q for Sales. Leveraging computer vision, tonal analysis, Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies, Q for Sales is the only EQ-based sales solution to offer real-time and post-call sentiment, engagement and EQ-based conversation intelligence for revenue teams. Now, B2B sales teams engaging customers over video and digital channels can “read the room” and respond to live emotional feedback, identifying moments that matter and increasing close rates. 

Colabo Joins the Team to Drive Next-Gen Knowledge AI and Automation

In April, we acquired Colabo, an AI-powered knowledge automation solution that specializes in extracting and utilizing information from structured and unstructured documents in real-time. By integrating Colabo’s solution into our industry-leading conversational automation platform, we streamlined access to the most relevant content and next-best actions needed for intelligent virtual assistants (IVAs) and live agents to optimize customer interactions.  

Uniphore Named to Forbes AI 50 List

May saw Uniphore included in Forbes’ AI 50 List, a prestigious roster that “recognizes standouts in privately-held North American companies making the most interesting and effective use of artificial intelligence technology.” Uniphore beat out close to 400 contenders to land a top spot among the 50 most compelling companies of 2022, further cementing itself as a leader in the artificial intelligence space. 

Everest Group Names Uniphore a Major Contender in PEAK® Matrix Assessment

In September, leading strategic research and analyst firm, Everest Group, recognized our cutting-edge conversational AI and automation platform as a major contender in its 2022 PEAK® Matrix assessment. The assessment evaluated 26 global conversational AI vendors on their market impact, as well as their vision and capability to deliver services. Our inclusion among the major contenders places us at the forefront of the conversational AI vendor landscape.  

Uniphore Partners with Genesys, Avaya and Leading Regional Solution Providers

This year, we announced several platform partnerships that significantly expand our customers’ capabilities. In June, U-Assist In-Call and U-Assist Aftercall were made available as premium applications on Genesys AppFoundry®—the industry’s largest dedicated marketplace focused on customer experience solutions. October saw our products adding deep functionality to Avaya’s OneCloud™ CCaaS platform. Regionally, we entered into strategic partnerships with BaseBS, Probe and Mindfields, empowering key APAC market leaders with integrative, best-in-class conversational automation tools.
